Consumer Directed Services (CDS)

Consumer Directed Services (CDS) is a Missouri-state funded program that is designed to help patients find in-home caregivers that suit their specific needs. CDS allows patients to choose their own caregivers based on the experience, knowledge, and qualifications of each caregiver. Different patients have different requirements for in-home care, and CDS makes it possible for patients to have control over their home care by allowing them more freedom to choose their own caregiver. Patients not only get to choose from a list of qualified, designated caretakers, but they are also able to request that a friend or family member be their caregiver. When a friend or family member becomes a part of the CDS caretaker network, they become eligible to receive payment for caretaking hours and services provided.

If you’re a caregiver in Jackson County, MIssouri joining the CDS caretaker network is a great way to support your local community and make a difference while also making money. Caregivers who join the CDS network must be age 18 or older and be physically and mentally capable of providing care. You must also be either a legal United States citizen or have the appropriate requirements met to work in the U.S.

And some people may prefer to work with a small business rather than a website or a mobile app delivery service. As grocery delivery becomes more popular, there will be plenty of jobs opening for shoppers who don’t want to go an entrepreneurial route.

As a grocery shopper for other people, precision is important. You’ll need to find the exact item that your customer ordered. Timeliness is also essential. Janitor

Janitors act as the caretaker of buildings such as schools, residential homes, hospitals, offices, and more. Their primary responsibility is to keep the interior and sometimes the exterior of the building clean and maintained. Some janitors are also responsible for making sure the property is safe and secure. To do this job, you must be physically healthy and able to do manual labor.

As a janitor, you will be expected to perform heavy cleaning tasks such as washing the windows, cleaning the floors, shampooing rugs, and removing garbage. Additionally, the janitor must also maintain the furnace and fix whatever breaks in the building (or notify the appropriate repair-person to do the job). A lot of janitors must also clean snow off sidewalks and do some very general maintenance on the exterior of the building as well.

Janitors are always in high demand because nearly every large business is in need of someone to maintain the property where the business resides. Office spaces, truck stops, hospitals, courthouses and other government buildings, apartment complexes, and just about any business that operates in a large building will need a reliable janitor to do caretaking. Warehouse Associate

Distribution centers are always in need of extra help. Depending on your previous work experience, you could make between $11 and $14 per hour as a warehouse associate in Jackson County, Missouri. This type of position requires organizational abilities and a willingness to be trained.

One of the most important characteristics of a warehouse associate is reliability. If you show up to work regularly and you have good eyesight (either regular or corrected) and you’re physically able to bend, reach, stoop, walk, stand, and sometimes climb a ladder, this may be the right job for you. Warehouse work sometimes requires the ability to adapt to seasonal changes in temperature, so your health should be good enough to endure the warm and cool seasons in Missouri.

Most warehouse associates have a high school diploma or GED, though there are some exceptions to this rule. If you have experience driving a forklift, there are a number of warehouses that would be willing to consider you for a position. Good forklift drivers are always in high demand for daily handling and execution of customer’s orders and shipments. For those who do not have experience driving a forklift, there are still plenty of positions in many warehouse facilities that require merely two able hands and a willingness to work.
